The following reflects the working certification requirements for the Human Resources Assistant (HRA), Human Resources Generalist (HRG) and California HR Professional (CHRP) certification programs. Please be sure to check back for the final requirements.


Individuals wishing to enroll in the certification programs will need access to a computer and internet.

Human Resources Assistant Program (HRA)

1.      Successful completion of the required coursework

2.      Minimum typing score of 40 words per minute
3.      Minimum score of 90% on HRA Comprehensive Assessment

Human Resources Generalist Program (HRG)
1.      1 year in an exempt HR role OR 2 years HR experience*
2.      Successful completion of the required coursework
3.      Minimum score of 90% on HRG Comprehensive Assessment
