2018 State & Federal Combined Labor Law Posters

Starting July 1, 2017, California employer with 25 or more employees were required to provide specific information, in writing, to new employees upon hire and to other employees upon request of their rights to take leave under Labor Code Section 230.1. We are drafting this policy in accordance with Labor Code Section 230.1 for $50.00 (payment for this service is not due until the delivery of the completed policy).

AB 1825/AB 2053 Training
REQUIRED FOR ALL CALIFORNIA EMPLOYERS WITH 50 OR MORE EMPLOYEES
If you are a California employer OR employer with California employees AND you have 50 or more employees and/or Independent Contractors, you are required to have any person who supervises at least 1 employee AND/OR who can influence the employment of an employee to complete the 2 Hour Mandatory Sexual and Other Harassment and Abusive Conduct Training for Supervisors every 2 years (including within 6 months of being hired or promoted into a supervisory role).
To make things easier for California employers subject to these requirements, we offer an online/web-based training course that meets the legal requirements set forth under AB 1825 & AB 2053. This course allows the learners to take it when they have time, at their own pace...all they need is a computer and internet. Affordable Care Act Reporting
REQUIRED FOR: Employers of any size that sponsored a self-insured health plan providing minimum essential coverage AND Employers/applicable large employers with 50 or more full-time or full-time equivalent employees (employees working an average 30+ hours per week OR combined part-time hours calculation).
If you think that you are subject to the ACA reporting/filing and would like for us to prepare and handle your filing, click here and a member of our team will contact you ASAP. Please note that our cut-off date to accept requests will be January 5, 2018 (to ensure that we have appropriate time to prepare the 1095 B & C forms for distribution. 2016 and 2017 saw new and revised laws under the California Equal Pay Act:
To avoid challenges and litigation, it is critical to have a carefully drafted compensation program consistent with the requirements set forth under the Equal Pay Act.

- Eliminating the requirement that the employees being compared have to work at the "same establishment";
- Making it more difficult for employers to satisfy the "bona fide factor other than sex" defense;
- Ensuring that any legitimate factors relied upon by the employer are applied reasonably and account for the entire pay difference;
- Explicitly stating that retaliation against employees who seek to enforce the law is illegal, and making it illegal for employers to prohibit employees from discussing or inquiring about their co-workers' wages; and
- Extending the number of years that employers must maintain wage and other employment-related records from two to three years.
