Areas Sales Manager, Norway and Denmark Employer: Confidential
Business & People Strategy Consulting Group, LLC (www.bpscllc.com) is seeking an Area Sales Manager for one of the top 50 global companies to manage the Denmark and Norway sales team. This opportunity is due to an internal move within the company and they are seeking a highly skilled and successful sales manager to proactively grow the business through the achievement of all sales targets while coaching and developing their team.
Responsibilities
· Day-to-day management and leadership of the field sales team to achieve sales targets and to ensure the sales effort is consistent with the companies values, business compliance and Nordics core strategies.
· Manage the recruitment, induction training and development of sales team to ensure continuous improvement of both the individual and the Company.
· Achieve overall business growth targets for the region.
· To develop strong relationships both internally, by working closely and effectively with other functions (Key Accounts, Marketing, Professional Affairs, HR, Finance), and externally to create opportunities for the company.
· Strategic business planning, ensuring a full understanding of the Company strategies and developing annual and quarterly plans to generate high ROI.
· To actively participate in and contribute to quarterly national sales meetings and monthly sales management meetings
· To understand competitor position and use to make strategy recommendations for the region and Nordics business.
Qualifications
· An academic degree in economics, business administration or related field.
· Minimum 3 years' experience of sales management. Previous experience in Fast Moving Consumer Goods is a plus and preferred.
· A strong focus on putting the customer at the heart of the business.
· A track record of leading a team, which delivered sales success.
· The ability to demonstrate experiences of motivating and inspiring others, leading to excellent business results.
· A high level of energy, urgency and dynamism required to drive yourself and others to exceed performance targets.
· Understanding and commitment to the importance of processes and procedures designed to optimize efficiency and performance.
· Optimum time management and organizational ability.
· A strong team player.
· Ability and desire to move upwards within the organization.
